Have you ever thought about Music Therapy? Some people can think about Music Therapy in so many different ways. Music can help you with Depression, Suicidal Thoughts, relationship problems, learning about different religions and family issues. It all depends on what type of mood you’re in and what song you’re listening to. You can’t listen to Rap while you’re sad, depressed and angry. The violence in Rap songs can have you thinking negatively. You can’t listen to sad songs when you’re in a happy mood because the sad songs can make you depressed when you’re already happy. Do you want to know a secret? The best music to go to when you’re sad or lonely is Gospel music. A certain Gospel song can have a different impact on you than someone else. Don’t just turn to Gospel music when you’re sad and lonely. But, listen to Gospel songs when you’re happy. Gospel music can have a great impact on your life if you just give that side of the music a chance. Have you ever heard of a song called “God Favors Me.” by Hezekiah Walker? this song has such a strong meaning behind it. This song talks about your enemies and when your enemies try to attack you. God is always there to save you and he still favors you. This song talks about how people hates on you for no reason but, he (God) still favors you. When your friends are the cool ones in school and they leave you out of things. He still favors you because there’s something special about you. I advice you to listen to that song every morning and before you go to bed. This song will be great for you especially for the ones who are struggling. If you’re  looking for some music that will make you want to dance. Go to church on Sunday and listen to the Choir. When you listen to the choir, listen to their voices. When you listen to the choir, look at how they interact with each other. Look at their smiles and how they interact with the crowd. Wouldn’t you want to be apart of that? The happiness and joyful songs that you hear them sing. Think about the choir at your church. I bet you’re thinking about it right now, aren’t you? I love listening to the choir at my church. They know the right songs to sing and how to make you happy. You’ll have such a great time. Listen to Gospel music for a change and see what affect it has on you. Change the music that you have on your phone or IPod and I know in the next couple seconds the music that you listen to will be a difference then what you listened to before.

  1. Like the video share. Thank you!

Please do check out this video excerpt for a bible perspective on worship: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_2OlLxyeAM
I’m sure it will edify you.

Jesus defines the fear of the Lord (Deut 6:13) as worship of the Lord (Matt 4:10, Luke 4:8), which is the beginning of wisdom. (Psa 111:10 and Prov. 1:7, 4:7-9) Be of good cheer! Come to the Lord as you are; worship Him, and see Him lift you up and fill you with His goodness!

  2. You’re welcome. I will look at the video and tell you what I think of it. I never knew how to worship but, I do know how to Praise Him. Whats the difference if you don’t mind telling me. And I will also take a look at the scriptures as well.

  3. Praise is a form of worship, a public and personal declaration of His goodness. We praise Him and thank Him for all that He’s done for us and what He is to us. I believe that praise and worship help usher us into the tangible manifestation of the presence of God. The bible tells us that as we singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in our hearts to God, we are filled with the Spirit of God. (Eph 3:18-19, Col. 3:16)

I also believe that worship is also birth out of a deeper revelation of believing right about who God is as revealed by the Holy Spirit to us, and it’s personal. But, this is just my personal take – you need to ask the Holy Spirit to reveal more to you through His Word.

As we grow in the knowledge of our Lord, we also see more of our Father God: His sovereignty, His Holiness, His Awesomeness, His Loveliness, His Love, His Grace, His Loveliness, His goodness … The first mention of worship in the Bible is in Gen. 22:5 – Abraham worshipping God with Isaac in Mount Moriah – should leave us some clues. God in the preceding verses had asked him to sacrifice his only son, the son whom he loved…

Also, as you recall in the earlier chapters, many decades before his act of worship, God preached the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to Abraham (Gal 3:8). Abraham believed God’s promise to him (to make him a father of many nations), and it was counted to him as righteousness.

In other words, He was in right standing with God – not because of what he did, but because he believed right first. His right believing about God eventually, decades later, led him to have a deeper revelation about God – and this is what he said this to his son, “God will provide…” (Gen. 22:8) And, God did provide for him a ram caught in the thicket by his horns. (Gen. 22:13)

Abraham’s right belief about God led him to a greater revelation about God. This, in the later years, produced/resulted in his righteous act of worship, which justified him too. (Jam. 2:21)

I believe that as we grow in the knowledge of our Lord, we will be able to worship our Father in spirit and in truth. (John 4:23-26)

  4. I like how you put scriptures with everything that you say to confirm it. I will ask God to reveal more to me. Have a Blessed Day. ! 🙂
